This
free program ties in with the 3rd Annual Keweenaw Migratory Bird
Day in Copper Harbor. Joe Kaplan and Keren Tischler, local bird experts and co-founders
of Common Coast Research and Conservation will be on hand to assist
with observation of migrating raptors on Brockway Mountain and
possibly water birds in Copper Harbor. Joe and Keren will share their knowledge about
hawk migration, the various species observed, and answer questions.
We´ll provide several spotting scopes for participants; bring
binoculars if you have them. Please email to register even though
this is a free program, so we´ll have some idea about interest
and attendance.
