WORKSHOPS > HAWK MIGRATION OBSERVATION

Wilderness First AidThis free program ties in with the 3rd Annual Keweenaw Migratory Bird Day in Copper Harbor. Joe Kaplan and Keren Tischler, local bird experts and co-founders of Common Coast Research and Conservation will be on hand to assist with observation of migrating raptors on Brockway Mountain and possibly water birds in Copper Harbor. Joe and Keren will share their knowledge about hawk migration, the various species observed, and answer questions. We´ll provide several spotting scopes for participants; bring binoculars if you have them. Please email to register even though this is a free program, so we´ll have some idea about interest and attendance.
